A Principle to Keep

One principle that i always live by no matter what the circumstance is that i always act friendly towards everyone. Especially people I don't know that well or people i do not know at all. I personally believe that it is very important to make a good first impression on someone. You never want anyone to think of you as inconsiderate or mean in any way just because you did not smile at them one time.
Every time i meet new people, i expect them to be friendly. I would assume that others expect the same from me. So that is why this is a principle i constantly try to keep. I strongly believe that friends are essential to have a successful life and school career. The way to make friends is to be nice to everyone from the beginning. A person will not want to be friends with someone who does not seem friendly and does not give off a good first impression.
So. all in all, i believe that in the long run it will be very beneficial and good for everyone if a person gives off a good first impression. So, this is why i keep this principle constantly and take it seriously.

  1. I agree with your statement saying friends are an essential part to a person's everyday life, but I disagree with showing kindness to a stranger. Showing kindness is a good quality, but you must always limit your kindness to strangers. When someone new meets someone who is kind, they could easily take advantage of that quality by asking for to much, or expecting a lot. Personally, I think it's better to start of slowly with someone new, then gradually show kindness and trust. Those two qualities shouldn't be a given, they need to be earned and not just anyone can have them.

  2. What Nathan said pretty much nailed it. The stranger you met could have recently taken part in a crime or something. Or what if that person shows you disrespect in the beginning? Would you still stick by that?
Also being friendly under all circumstances did not sound like what I read back on my blog. "yours truly"!
